It took me long time to publish this page. The web is motivating to be creative, but the talents and time force to be brief.

Can rapidly adapt to new conditions. Strongly pronounced choleric person. Usually behaves as an established pessimist, although trusts in a miraculous salvation till the very end. Very social, although might seem cold with new people. Likes professionalism, creativity, and healthy food. Hates deception, spam, time eaters, and uncomfortable shoes. Has no pernicious habits.

Languages

Freely communicates in Russian, Latvian, English, German and Italian. Can understand some Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, Turkish and French.

Academical interests: graph databases, temporal and spatial databases, advanced database applications, open-source software development, process modelling. Currently works on querying graph data.

August 2010 - now. Works as a research engineer at the Kyungpook National University (Daegu, Republic of Korea).

March 2005 - July 2010. Works as a research assistant and a lecturer at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Bozen-Bolzano, Italy).

January 2003 - February 2005. Employed by SIA IT Alise (Riga, Latvia) as a software analyst. Does business modelling, requirements solicitation, user interface design, database design, testing, and internal seminars.

July 2002 - August 2002. Works for iNNOVA Information Solutions (Ankara, Turkey) as a software developer. During that period develops several pilot projects using Oracle9iAS and several internet and desktop applications written in Java.

August 2001 - December 2002. Employed by SIA BATsoft (Riga, Latvia) as a system analyst. Responsibilities include preparation of proposals & presentations, technical consulting, business modelling, requirements solicitation, technology research, and internal auditing.

July 2000 - May 2001. Holds a position of a lead software developer in SIA SWF (Riga, Latvia). Is responsible for project coordination, requirements solicitation, software architecture design.

October 1999 - August 2000. Employed by AS Baltmedia (Riga, Latvia) as a web developer. During this time develops several web sites, desktop applications and portable databases.

Free time activities

Likes to generate creative ideas in web design, decor, etc. Usually these ideas do not get accomplished.

From 2005 is a member of capoeira-bz group and regularly participates in its activities.

From 2002 to 2005 was involved into salsa dance movement in Riga and spent a lot of time learning, teaching and performing salsa, rueda, cha-cha-cha, merengue and bachata dances.

In 2001-2002 participated in AIESEC international exchange project and since that time takes part in some AIESEC activities.
